Métro Abbesses Station

Buried 118 feet deep below ground, Abbesses is Amélie's métro stop in Le Fabuleux destin d'Amélie Poulain. As our hotel was a mere stone's throw away, this became our métro stop too.

Below is the station's entrance, which was designed by Hector Guimard (1867–1942). It is one of only two original Guimard entrances left in Paris.

Paris has a fascination with carousels, I saw them everywhere. This whimsical one is next to the Abbesses métro entrance.

All these photos were taken by me in Montmartre, Paris.

love it SK, you are good at this stuff. I would love to see you go commercial but I suppose it won't happen. Big thumbs up from me anyway.

:D
